Nollywood Director Francis Anekwe shared his Journey in the movie Industry

Nollywood Director and also an Actor Anekwe onyedikachi Francis popularly known as FRANCIS ANEKWE shared his biography with LAMBERTZ NEWS.

Francisis was born on  17th April in  Lagos state.



Francisis is the fourth child in a family of six. He headed to Abuja for my western education sujourn in d year 2002,and was enrolled into st Lukes primary school were he acquired the basis of education before getting admission into the secondary school,which is the prestigious government secondary school Kubwa Abuja were he schooled untill 2009 he  wrote waec and passed out.

Since his tender age he had always have passion for writing,and he tried to publish a novel while in Juniour secondary titled CRY OF THE ORPHAN in the year 2010.




Francis shot his first movie after school at Abuja which he was introduce into the world of film meeting a thespian named onyebuchi ibe.
He had the first experience though not so easy to face the camera but was memorable.

Thereafter the hunger to strive hard came up,the hunger to be a professional actor came up and the only option then was going down to where it happens which is asaba delta state.


 Francis parent were the kind of persons that hate movie ,not to talk of allowing their child act one.

Francis said

"So my  biggest challenge actually came from my family,from my home,my father was someone who hates to see us watch television, he so much wanted us to be focus on studies alone,and always wanted me to be a lawyer,"

 Francis later got admission into delta state polytechnic Ogwashi Uju to study Business Administration and Management, he was so happy reasons not because he was attending a polytechnic but for d fact that he was going to be closer to his dream land,such was how he came down to asaba and starrted his career journey.

 Francis went through a lot,meeting his first boss in the person of Baron KESS were he shot a movie then under rain and sun but the funny thing was that it never came out.

As upcomer then, the challenges was much one must tip some producers or production managers to be Able to cast them and young guys  barely have money like the females.

So it wasn't an easy smooth considering I hard no sponsor, Francis had to divert into being a production assistant from there he was able to be co-ordinator from there with advice's of a lot of persons, he started working as a continuity with the help of a man I call messiah uchenna Felix AGU meeting this fellow made things easy for him,he became  his boy and most at times block him In some of his job with such opportunity he was able to work under a lot of big directors and producers in the industry mostly names like,solo AMACO, marketers and etal.

Then after Francis met a man who kept him permanently as his continuity for a long time in the person of Onyeka ikechi, he served and work under him for long hoping on God the day he will become a film director.

Because his love for directing came when he started staying at d back of camera, after about four years under him.

 Before now, he had tried directing little by little and did an Igbo movie that was bought by dstv Igbo,this movie gave him a belive that he can be productive.


He worked as a production manager for about two years before his attention stated driving toward directing  and he made up his mind to hang his boot as a production manager and focus on directing alone.

Francis have stayed for over 7 years learning under names to be able to stand his fit.

Francis has directed several Nollywood movies such as April fool ,tears of Bisola,but the movie Reflection he directed was the turning point in his life the movie featuring Zack Orji, kelvin books and Uju Okoli after the movie Zack said to him Francis you have a bright future since then Till now has actually being a good ride for him in the industry.

 Francis has turn out to b one of the sort after and disciplined directors currently, this is my one years old as a director and he assure  all that sooner than later award will be flying in,not to forget that he was just nominated for an award for best director of the year.

In all he will say God is indeed faithful to fail.
